Ariane Famiglietti — President

Ariene spent 6 years with Fantasy Works as a performer, stage hand, and assistant stage manager from 1992-1998 and counts those as some of her best experiences. Since leaving Fantasy Works, she graduated from Boston University and worked in Boston in insurance sales.  More recently, she has moved back to RI and is currently a Recruiter for a temporary agency that specializes in Finance & Accounting roles.


Norma Malachowski — Secretary

Norma is a certified elementary education teacher and merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of Rhode Island.  Her experience also several years as both a member-at-large and a VP of registration for the Warwick Soccer Association, as well as a Service Unit Manager (Warwick) for the Girl Scouts of RI.

Ryan has been a part of Rhode Island Youth Theatre since the age of 11 when he performed in his first show, “Oliver.” Ryan continued to perform with the company each Summer in his youth. He hails from Coventry, RI, and is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Musical Theater. While in college, he worked each summer with RIYT as a director, stage manager, and production manager. Ryan has performed nationally and regionally. He proudly traces his theatrical roots back to RIYT and will always call it “home.”


Catie Flynn 

Catie  is a Rhode Island native who has performed and musically directed with RIYT and Fantasy Works Youth Theater. She studied music at the University of Connecticut, and at Berklee College of Music where she studied voice under Jeannie Gagne. She attends Rhode Island College, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a goal of becoming a music therapist.  Catie has also been involved in the RI All State Chorus, where she was a top ranked soprano for four years; the RI All State Jazz Chorus; the University of CT Concert Chorus; University of CT female a’cappella group: The UConn Chordials; and the Berklee College of Music Musical Theater Club .  She has been involved with RIYT/Fantasy Works Youth Theater for many years — as a performer, music director, and a director — and she is founder, director, and arranger for Forte, a women’s a’cappella quartet.


Jeanne Heston

Jeanne has held marketing, managerial, sales, and UX design roles in various high-tech companies and has taught marketing courses at the college level.  She grew up in Providence, and holds both a BS in Marketing Management and an MBA in International Business from Bentley University. She credits her early theater experiences with helping her build the confidence to speak in front of large audiences without fear (well, maybe some occasional butterflies!).

elisa300x300Elisa Cardone – Ex-officio member (Non-voting)

Elisa is a Lecturer in Technical Design and Production at the Yale School of Drama and teaches classes in both Production Management and Technical Management. She has worked professionally as a production manager for both Broadway productions and National Tours including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Elisa is a graduate of Brown University and the Yale school of Drama and has been lucky enough to work with Ann and Fantasy Works / Rhode Island Youth Theatre since the company was founded in 1987.

Nancy Hillner – Ex-officio member (Non-voting)

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, Nancy made her Broadway debut in the critically acclaimed comedy, Dance With Me. She appeared Off-Broadway in Nunsense, touring the country with the likes of Phyllis Diller, Pat Carroll, Dodi Goodman and Joanne Worley, as well as performing in the National Tour of Neil Simon’s Rumors, with Peter Marshall and Patty McCormack. Locally, she was a member of Charlie Hall’s Ocean State Follies and Mixed Nuts, but her favorite production is her daughter, Amy.
