Ariane Famiglietti — President
Ariene spent 6 years with Fantasy Works as a performer, stage hand, and assistant stage manager from 1992-1998 and counts those as some of her best experiences. Since leaving Fantasy Works, she graduated from Boston University and worked in Boston in insurance sales. More recently, she has moved back to RI and is currently a Recruiter for a temporary agency that specializes in Finance & Accounting roles.
Elisa is currently the Director of Client Service for The Hilb Group of New England in East Greenwich, RI. For 11 years she was a Lecturer in Technical Design and Production at the Yale School of Drama and taught classes in Production Management and Technical Management. She has worked professionally as a production manager for both Broadway productions and National Tours including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Elisa is a graduate of Brown University and the Yale school of Drama and has been lucky enough to work with Ann and Fantasy Works / Rhode Island Youth Theatre since the company was founded in 1987.
Barbara holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. She worked as a support engineer for 7 years, before leaving the workforce to raise her two theatrically inclined children. Barbara co-produced “Aladdin Jr.” and “Getting to Know the Sound of Music” as part of an after school theater program at her daughter’s school. Barbara is also a certified teacher assistant.
Leslie Walaska Baxter is a teacher assistant in the Warwick School Department. Previously, she worked at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University as an events coordinator, copy editor, and research project assistant. Leslie holds a BA in History and Political Science from Marquette University and an MA in Comparative Politics from Boston College. She became involved in RI Youth Theater when her son Robert performed in a teen production of Guys and Dolls. Her daughter Katherine also has been in RIYT production, and Leslie tries to sell as many ads as she can for RIYT show programs!
Justin spent 5 years with Fantasy Works as a performer and stage manager from 1995-2000. After his work with Fantasy Works, he performed with various theater groups all over the East Coast. He attended the Hartford Conservatory and then moved to New York, where he worked as a director of a childcare center for 13 years, writing and directing musicals for the children to preform for their final projects. He is currently working as an operations specialist for a staffing firm in Rhode Island and continues to write plays in his spare time.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, Nancy made her Broadway debut in the critically acclaimed comedy, Dance With Me. She appeared Off-Broadway in Nunsense, touring the country with the likes of Phyllis Diller, Pat Carroll, Dodi Goodman and Joanne Worley, as well as performing in the National Tour of Neil Simon’s Rumors, with Peter Marshall and Patty McCormack. Locally, she was a member of Charlie Hall’s Ocean State Follies and Mixed Nuts, but her favorite production is her daughter, Amy.
